Both the Northrop and Lockheed teams tested XST models at Grey Butte in the original "pole-off" competition. Based on the RCS results, each team refined its configuration. The final pole-off took place at RATSCAT.

I've got pictures of all four models, two at Grey Butte and two at RATSCAT in my book.
