It is obvious that the joined wing design philosophy of the McDonnell Douglas Diamond technology demonstrator which flew in the mid-1990s influenced that of the Boeing Model 1076-410E design for the AFRL's SensorCraft program. However, I'm curious as to whether the McDD Diamond was put in storage or scrapped after its completion of flight testing, given that the McDonnell Douglas Phantom Works which built the Diamond became part of Boeing after that company bought McDD in 1997.
