A couple of years ago when the runway at TTR was being repaved I reported a fleet of gravel trucks passing Rachel every weekday, apparently hauling gravel from a mine near Glendale, NV to TTR. This is happening again! And Michals video shows many of the same trucks at TTR. We sometimes see 6 at a time, possibly more than a dozen a day. That is a lot of gravel!

It looks like there is more ground work going on at TTR, possibly a ramp extension or taxiway work. There is some earth moving visible on GE just north of the Janet terminal but the area does not look large enough for all that gravel. There are also two very tall new water towers in that area. They height seems to indicate a need for high water pressure. They may be permanent or temporary to support construction. Anyone care to speculate?
