AWATS had reported that someone had spotted this being escorted by as I remember it F-16 fighter escorts. I also remember reading somewhere that the single engine demonstrator was supposed to be optionally piloted. Interesting factoid. Wouldn't it be funny if the "Darkstar" as spotted in "Top Gun" was a variation of this sort of idea?
