Ellie, Welcome to the site. Like many on here I have been a student of all of this for longer than I can remember. I was a lurker forever, almost afraid to ask questions, and at this point I'm up to having drinks with Joerg whenever I end up out west for work. There is endless information on this site and it can be overwhelming to say the least. You can take every note possible and plan all you want, but it truly is completely different when you get out there. And that's not to try and scare you off. I have been out there by myself a handful of times and it's amazing and intimidating every single time. You will have this amazing nervous excitement driving down Groom Lake Road for the first time. You know you are doing nothing wrong, but you feel like you are one bad decision away from having a bad encounter with the Cammo Dudes. The reality is you hang out at the gate, get excited seeing the signs and Cammo Dudes, and you drive away laughing. Now Tikaboo is a completely different animal all together. There are tons a trip reports ranging from it's no big deal to hardest thing they have ever done. Look at August 2014. Again, welcome and ask away!
