"Music on/off" goes back at least 10 years, probably more. I have heard it used by various aircraft in Dreamland missions. I believe it to be a term used for the condition of an emitter system that is part of the test or mission, such as jamming, telemetry, comms gear being tested etc. "X-Ray on/off" seems to be something specific to the F-117. At one point in this weeks mission there is a reference to X-ray being at max range. That is a term I would use for a receiver, not for a transmitter. So my interpretation is that the Groom F-16 and the Beech were emitters (Music on/off) and the F-117 were receivers (X-Ray on/off). Of course, maybe that is what "they" want us to think... :-)
