That is correct, but this week Checked Flag is being held there. OT: When F22s first came to Tyndall years ago an active duty friend took me to the flight line side of the base and we cruised down the flight line looking at the F22s out 200 yards or so under quanset huts out on the flight line. We then turned around to go back down the other direction only to spot a F22 sitting in a wash rack right next to the Base Ops building right next to the exit. We were able to drive up and park less than 50 feet away! What a thrill. The one thing a noticed the most was the surface of the aircraft looked like nothing like I'd ever seen. The way it didn't reflect any light but wasn't really a "Flat" paint cooking coating at all.....SPECIAL MEMORY!
