James A. “José” Jimenez was with the Red Hats in the HAVE PHOENIX program from 1991 to 1993. Groom Lake has typically had more than one drinking establishment. Sam's Place is a communal watering hole for the entire base but, due to compartmentalization, programs tended to have their own places as well. I mention both the Goatsucker Inn and the Conehead Bar air my book. I may have mentioned the Red Hats, too. Pictures of the Bonehead Bar show name tags hanging on the wall above the bar, which is likely a common practice.
