I got invited to a few similar "private bars" on military installations over the years, the best being run by an EoD unit at an air base that will go unnamed. I remember the grizzled old NCO who invited me telling me, "Once you step through that door, rank/title/position means nothing." That's how I got introduced to Jeremiah Weed bourbon. Bad memories of the next morning.
