Years ago I read an article about how the USAF gained access to an early Soviet jet, maybe a MiG-9 or Yak-15. As the story went, the a/c, still in a shipping crate, was left in an isolated area in a railroad car in an Eastern European country. The US "borrowed" it, analyzed it, and put it back without it being missed. I think this was pre-Korean War, probably late 40s. Does anyone know where/when this article was published? Or failing that, does anyone know more of the story? Thanks
