Only one Polecat was built. The Polecat was intended as a technology demonstrator, with some lessons from design of it being applied to the Lockheed Martin/Boeing NGLRS/NGB proposal for a new-generation subsonic stealth bomber and a Lockheed Martin submission for the classified USAF competition for a stealthy P-ISR unmanned aircraft won by Northrop Grumman. The objects in the satellite image could alternately be RCS test models for the Lockheed Martin design that lost out to Northrop Grumman's P-ISR submission.
