I am not sure that I agree with your assessment, Freema22. You can find other F-18s that have their wings removed at the Boneyard near here:

They look similar to the image I posted, but there are definitely significant differences, at least to me.

Here is an image of a de-winged F-18 at the Boneyard, along with a measurement from nose to the end of the engines that shows 53 feet long.

This is another angle of the mystery craft. You can see it is not quite as long at 50 feet from nose to end of engine. Also, the very wide angular front is at its widest at approximately the center of the cockpit section. Even a F-18 E/F Super Hornet doesn't get wider until until the cockpit area has started.

I am not convinced we are looking at an F-18 airframe. Anyone else have other thoughts, speculation or wild-ass guesses?
