Vahe , I’m sure you know this already, but there were many F-111E’s based at RAF Upper Heyford with the 20th TFW at that time. There were also EF-111A’s based at Heyford too, with the 42nd ECS. The F-111’s escorting the unknown may not have been Lakenheath based machines. TC
