While I was at Lockheed Martin Controls Systems Division (now parts of BAE Systems) in the late 1990s we did work on a flight control system for a LM drone prototype that they demonstrated, flying it from a local grass airstrip. A flying wing very similar in shape to the RQ-170, but much smaller. I doubt the wingspan was more than ten feet. Whether that was a full-size prototype or a subscale prototype was never revealed. This thread is the first indication of that project ever being anything more than an in-house effort, if indeed it was a progression of the work we did.
