For instance, the "RQ-180" designation for the P-ISR originated in a single article resulting in a background briefing to AWST's then-Washington correspondent, back in 2010.
Vago is right about LM's muted reaction to the U-2 retirement, however. Before the decision became public, there was a high-level exchange in which they were asked not to stir the pot. And why would they, given how much of their turnover comes from the US Air Force?
