The AW&ST issue containing the article titled "Black Surprises" which includes the retouched photo of the flying wing model can be accessed at the Internet Archive and rented for one hour (see attached link).

Since the photo of the subscale flying wing model on page 68 of the above-mentioned article was retouched to omit background details, is it possible that the original photo including the background details is still waiting to be classified?
