I 100% agree with your point, but it does seem that every manufacturer has released a somewhat similarly shaped rendering of what their NGAD proposal would be, I would reason that any of the NGAD demonstrators may have a similar planform.
Now, I will be the first to admit we're trying to decipher a dark blob that was moving at high speed in the picture (albeit a wonderful photograph!) and this could be anything from an NGAD demonstrator to a Cessna 525. All I'm saying is that one image jumped out in my mind when I saw this, and I will be the first to admit that I tend to be wrong most of the time... :)
