When I left the JSF JPO in 2001, the plan was to integrate an "auto-eject" system in the STO/VL B model. Considering the a/c apparently continued on its merry way after the ejection, could have been an inadvertent ejection actuated by auto-eject. If that turns out to be the case, there are going to a number of USMC and RN pilots saying, "We told you so!"
