It's known that seven companies (including Lockheed and Boeing) had proposals for the Quartz/AARS requirement accepted by the US Air Force in the mid-1980s. Recently, on the Secret Projects Forum, quellish has mentioned that Northrop Ventura (formerly Radioplane) was one of the companies involved in the Quartz/AARS competition, envisaging a proposal with long, straight wings like those of the Lockheed and Boeing AARS proposals. Given that the Northrop Ventura company designation NV-150 was called AP-3 as part of Northrop's AP (Advanced Projects) designation sequence, was the Northrop Ventura Quartz/AARS proposal ever given an NV-series designation by the company or not? Have any specifications been divulged for the Northrop Ventura Quartz/AARS submission?
