So to explain it in one paragraph: AI creates each and every route separately. No two flutes have the same route, nor do they share anything internally until the air exits just before the compressor face as one flat (stable) wall of air. It may look on first glance like a crazy ant farm, but in reality it is a revolutionary piece of design that will in future airframes delete the need to have near 40% of all internal space taken up by the air intakes.
