The section of our trip along the Alaska coast was from Herschel Island via Barrow, Little Diomede to Dutch Harbor. The sensitive part with DEW Line stations and other hardware visible in the distance was mostly before Little Diomede. The Diomede islands are an interesting story in itself. Big Diomede is Russian, Little Diomede is American. They are separated by less than three miles of water. The Russians have some spy gear on their island and we probably have some gear on ours. We were not allowed on the island. The only DEW Line station I can pinpoint was the one in Barrow at 71° 19.639'N 156° 38.158'W.
