That would indeed be extremely secure. If you're dealing with financial services organizations who need that sort of thing that's one way. In the organization I worked for some parts of the data center were accessible by all I.T. and other parts were only accessible to those who needed access to things that were sensitive. And it was walled off, you couldn't just piggyback into those spaces if you didn't belong there. I always felt weird when I went into those spaces too because there were cameras and other monitoring.
