The YF-24 would not have vertical stabilizers.
a military expert has published an article about engineering work on a Boeing fighter concept that dates back to the 1990s. The design, known as the "Model-24F."
Whether Boeing built and flight-tested a large-scale demonstration aircraft based on the "Model 24F" in the 1990s, and even whether it was related to the mysterious YF-24, remains a mystery.
The YF-24 is most certainly a prototype, I had heard recently that this aircraft had retractable ducks.
