The cockpit of Tacit Blue is intact, just as it appears in the photos on the museum's web site. I'm sorry they covered the canopy glass. It wasn't always like that. I'm not sure what the purpose of covering it was, considering that it is not on outdoor display.

I was at the public rollout in 1996. Sometime prior to the unveiling, there was a statement from the Air Force released to news media along with a few photos and some video of Tacit Blue in flight. Since then, more pictures and videos have surfaced.

I'm glad the airplane made it to the museum. There had been talk of simply pitching it into a hole in the desert and burying it.
