SR-91 is a fictitious designation by some online user for the mythical "Aurora" spyplane. Northrop Grumman proposed a Mach 6 bomber as part of its Future Strike Vehicle (FSV) design studies for a new-generation strategic bomber in the late 1990s and early 2000s. When realizing that hypersonic speed would be of little benefit to enhanced stealth, Northrop Grumman eventually opted for a flying wing as the best design option for a replacement for the B-52H and B-1B.
