When booking your hotel and/or checking in, if you are on the East side of the strip, ask for a room facing away from the strip OR specifically, for an airport view. The rooms facing AWAY from the strip are in less demand, so usually they are available. If you're facing East in any hotel on the strip in an upper floor, you'll see countless JANETs coming and going.
