As for this statement: Does the phrase "70 years of ultra high-speed flight" refer to the upcoming 70th anniversary in November 2023 of the Douglas D-558-2 Skyrocket becoming the first-ever airplane to hit Mach 2? I should point out that the Lockheed X-7 was the first-ever air-breathing aircraft to reach speeds of Mach 3 or more, even though it was an unmanned vehicle.
