The fact it operates at night and returns at night may point to it being an ISR platform. Why operate during the day when you are going to the other side of globe with an idea to do a pass or two and go back home before sunrise in the morning on your home time? Just a rethorical question ;) Well, I remember times there were high altitude fast corridors reserved for 'something' using the airspace a year or two ago. Was it she knocking the doors? Timeline would fit.
