The special operations VTOL transport codenamed Senior Citizen and envisaged in the 1990s was designed to be stealthy, notwithstanding the dearth of publicly unclassified documents pertaining to this special-ops transport project. We don't know if the SPRINT will use stealth, but it should be remembered that the impetus for the V-22 Osprey was the failure of Operation Eagle Claw. If a couple V-22s break down due to avionics failure while attempting a rescue mission to free Americans being held captive by ISIS militants in Syria, then the USAF will be more than happy to procure the SPRINT design and designate it either V-19 or V-25.
