I have a 19 foot van conversion (Roadtrek) and have been there for over 50 nights over the past 25 years. I would not want to turn around in anything much bigger, especially a towed trailer, unless I could unhitch it, turn it around 180 degrees manually, and then rehitch it after turning the tow vehicle around. That said, there's probably "room" if you run over existing sagebrush and other vegetation - something I think none of us should do there "stay on existing "roads"" - and by "roads" I think they mean "places without existing vegetation" Hope that's helpful. Also I always try to do a bit of cleaning and leave a few sticks of firewood behind.
