As noskcaJ said, the way the dormitories are arranged they don't have a view of the flight line. Of course employees are not confined to their rooms. But from what I hear from those who have (really!) worked there at one time, if you are told don't look outside during a certain time, they won't. Compartmentalization and secrecy is second nature to those who work there. There is a story, I believe somewhere on the Roadrunners web site, about a young guy who was interviewed for a job at Groom. When he was offered the job he said he wanted to first discuss the offer with his wife. That statement disqualified him on the spot.
