You need to pursue getting your things back because you, my friend, are a well-established journalist - this site has been reporting news since the 90s. You as a journalist have 4th Amendment rights, and this attack on journalistic rights - a slippery slope many journalists will be closely watching.

You were actually mentioned by the popular online newsgroup - Breaking Points (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=08tTi4GiuVg). They also mentioned your journalistic rights.

The first lawyer you spoke to is absolutely wrong. Contact your representatives, and definitely pursue this in the name of your journalistic rights.
