At Groom and other places, the only need is to hide new airframes and other technology from the curious eyes of your competitors, which works very well with regular hangars - absolutelly no need for any underground structures and therefore any serious person will tell you that there is not the slightest sign of such things around.
If you really want some huge underground military installations, go to Germany. Even almost 80 years after end of WW2 you can find (and in some places visit) extremely large "U-Verlagerungen" (literally: "underground relocation") in places such as "Mittelbau-Dora" that were dug into mountains (or used already existing mines or railway tunnels) for underground production of V-1 and V-2 rockets and parts of Messerschmidt Me 262, the world's first operational jet-powered fighter aircraft.
