I wouldn't read too much into the shape of the coin. Also, it is quite a bit different from the Top Gun "Darkstar" planform. As for the Edwards air show, I actually found it rather disappointing compared to those of past years. Not many static displays, and very few flying demonstrations. Other people I spoke with apparently shared my sentiment. I was surprised not to see at least one of the latest crop of NASA X-planes on static. A fly-by of the Stratolaunch would have been nice, too.
