The mix of load-outs on the F-35s is interesting. Carrying AIM-9Xs externally obviously increases their radar signature. The one jet carrying an ACMI (range instrumentation) pod is curious because it's the only one. Without that pod, aircraft can't be tracked by the range instrumentation system real time and for post flight debrief. If an internal version has been created for use in the F-22, F-35, and B-2, then why isn't that jet using it?
