Yes, the gas station here in Rachel is open. The pumps don't have credit card readers though. If you need gas after hours there is a phone number posted on the door to call. Currently they only have regular unleaded. But I hear that soon they will also have diesel. They also have drinks, snacks and a nice selection of Area 51 merchandise. Another great place to stop is the Alien Research Center in Hiko, at the beginning (assuming you are coming from Vegas) of the ET Hwy. They have all sorts of UFO and sci-fi related merchandise and even a replica of the Area 51 gate for photos if you don't want to drive down to the gate. You can camp anywhere off the highway on public land. Our Rachel web site (link attached) has a whole section with great camp spots and also a section of nearby places to explore. Enjoy your visit.
