@Joerg, I think you’re right that the berm next to the 2007 hangar is there for RF shielding. Never thought about it but it makes a lot of sense.

Would that also be a reason why the hangar is placed at an odd angle? The rest of the base is more or less oriented in a north to south configuration, but the 2007 hangar doesn’t. It is however lined up with the taxiway next to it so that might very well the simplest explanation (and therefor the most plausible!).

Conveniently the angle at which the 2007 hangar is placed makes it impossible to see what’s happening inside from Tikaboo peak.

If we find the answers to these questions we might get a little but closer to the truth.

I’m sure the Chinese and Russian intelligence agencies know the answer so no harm done.
