I was just digging into that spot as well at 37°13'29.65"N 115°42'45.16"W. I signed up for a free trial of planet.com to view daily sat images. On September 3 2017 it shows this: https://imgur.com/yPIwZHD On September 20 2017 it shows the tracks leading to the site next to my cursor: https://imgur.com/p1KeMr0 And according to the War Zone article "Report Claims Famed Russian Test Pilot Warned USAF Pilot Before Fatal Crash Near Area 51" the crash happened on September 5th. I would say I am 95% certain that this is the location. I haven't had this much fun on a Google Earth hunt since digging into Walter Ray and 928...
