Looks like they made him wait a good while before landing. Plenty of racetracks out over Moapa. Always interesting to see the Antonov instead of a C5 at a USAF location ... but especially interesting to see a Russian plane coming out of the Ukraine and landing at a US military base given the current climate. My first thought was maybe Nellis is just a bigger runway that LAS, but then I remembered that is not the case. My neighbor was an FE on the KC-10s and when they were fully loaded, they'd land at LAS instead of Nellis because they had a longer runway. Intriguing find...
