Did anybody else watch the video and has comments on the type of UAV?

At first sight, it looked to me like a WWII V-1 "flying bomb" brought to the 21st century.

Why would one want to release a UAV this way, as there will be no way to recover it in mid-air and if there is an airfield in range for it to land, then why take this extra effort to launch it from air?

Rather a "fire-and-forget" thing that is intended only for single use?

On top of that, did anybody else also notice the animation to show some kind of tropical ocean as the background?
