This post was awesome! Welcome, friend! Anyone who is interested in the history of Groom Lake is a friend of mine. I never believed in UFOs; my interest was always in aviation. It started in the early 1980s with a newspaper article (NYT?) claiming "The Air Force has a fleet of radar-evading airplanes based at a secret airfield in the Nevada desert". I remember poring over maps of Nevada, looking at the vast empty expanse of the Nellis Range, thinking "where the $%*$ could that place be"?
