It's just a matter of semantics. Remember the UFO literally means unidentified flying object. It does not mean in fact or by implication that such object (or other aerial phenomenon) is necessarily extraterrestrial. It just means that it's something in the air that cannot be immediately identified by the observer. Thus, UFO and UAP are entirely interchangeable generic terms.
