So, anybody up for a weekend trip to Ritidian Beach? If not, you can follow the Google Street View car on Guam road 3A along a good part of the northwestern perimeter of "Andersen North Base". Gives you a pretty good impression of the very sense tropical vegetation. With the runway several hundred meters away in the scrub and a pretty new and solid fence, seems like you don't necessarily need wide stretches of Nevada desert to hide things away. And to both sides of the runway, you'll be out over the ocean at just a glimpse of the eye - to short for most people to realize what they just saw - if they are interested at all and can see/hang around there at night. Also seems to be quite a bit of construction going on there. From a rought estimate, seems like the runway is approx. 1.6 kilometers/1 mile long and the two hangars about 60 meters/200 foot wide. Interesting to note that also only part of the old runway was re-paved with pattern of bright material in the center and darker pavement on the sides, except for the two ends. What does all this tell about the capabilities of the thing that lives there. Is a 1 mile runway sufficient for such kind of craft suspected to be there?
