Excellent point. The tower in a location that covers most of GL Rd. is in an ideal location for an intrusion sensor relay.

I do believe though that the panel and the recently added components are for an aircraft data link. Mainly because the first panel is pointed towards Mount Irish and because of the design of the new omni antenna. It is visible in the attached image, as well as some sort of platform on the left side of the tower. The lift is gone in this image, so we can assume that for now the set-up is finished.
