I’ve worked out of there several times. I mean I didn’t get to go look in every hangar, but the airfield seemed pretty wide open. There have been rumors over the years of black project aircraft operating there. Anything is possible, but being visible from the main interstate and the fact there is a whole German detachment on base I would say it’s less likely. Not to say there isn’t interesting stuff going on. There is a RCS range north of the old NASA facility that controllers won’t acknowledge. Not to far north of the airfield, all the way north of the Trinity site, is restricted unless you have access. South of the airfield all the way to El Paso is military land with different restrictive areas
