Aside from a few typos (admittedly a pet peeve of mine) an interesting article. But I am somewhat mystified by the illustration. So the NGAD fighter communicates with its landing gear, engine and on-board weapons. None of that is "next generation". What they should have depicted is how it integrates in a family of integrated systems. The fighter as the centerpiece in a formation consisting mostly of expendable drones, protecting the manned high-value asset like a shield in Star Trek, that is the kicker.
