Just where did PEA (Penetrating Electronic Attack) vanish to?

Gen. Hawk Carlisle thinks the Air Force’s nascent Penetrating Electronic Attack aircraft may actually go operational before the Penetrating Counter-Air platform that will notionally succeed or complement the F-22 and F-35 in the air superiority role. The Air Combat Command chief, speaking with defense reporters on Friday, said the PEA, which he described as a “partnership platform” with the F-22, F-35, and B-21 bomber..."

The nineteen million dollar question right there! Where oh where is PEA? Because NGAD is sat ready to surge into the spotlight, but not a single peep? I mean, 5 years ago it was all "We need this LPI capability, we want this as the weapons loadout we think is the bare minimum that is acceptable..." And then wham.

Vanished. Ghost. No one muttered it, no one whispered a word...

And yet people kept o9n rolling through the internet with weird 'blooms' on radars and massive denial spikes flaring up in crazy places.

Just doesn't add up.

Unless someone is sitting on something real sweet.

Just my musings.
