New concrete plant at Area 51

I finally had some time to look at the (relatively) new GE images dated 8/22/2019. They show little change over the 2015 images. As we already knew the old dining hall has been demolished as well as the three old two-story dormitories in the south. And there are some changes around Hangar 17, indicating a new project there.

A possibly significant change is the removal of the old concrete plant by the gravel pit and the construction of a new plant only a few hundred feet east of the old location. Looking at the images I cannot see a good reason for this. There is plenty of room for expansion around the old plant. Anyone care to speculate?

There are a lot more vehicles around the shipping and receiving facility and in the park and ride lot across the road from it. This could be due to the fact that the new image was taken on a weekday vs a Saturday for the previous image. Or it could indicate increased traffic/activity.

Unfortunately the image was taken before any construction of the new scoot-and-hide shelters around hangars 20-23 is evident. But the images show the roof damage of the 2009 hangar that has since been demolished.
