Father Crowley is nothing more than a ghost town these days. Aircraft are limited to 1500’ above or offset from the canyon. It’s nothing like it used to be, the days of 20-50 passes thru the canyon from military aircraft are long gone. You still get the occasional visit from civilian aircraft like the Fouga and Mig19 but it’s definitely not worth spending the entire day there. Your best bet is hanging out down at the dogbone (dry lake in Panamint valley) and hoping to catch aircraft transitions via Point Juliet and Point India. 315.9 and 291.6 are the channels to be listening on.
