The Groom Lake Yacht Club is not a real organization. It was a clever joke thought up by some locals in Rachel for T-Shirt designs.

On a similar note, there is an old photo from the Roadrunner days where one of the cooks at Area 51 poses with a fishing rod at the normally dry lake after heavy rains flooded it. I hear no more fishing permits are being issued. :-)
